The Process

I started creating the letter N in various forms using gouache. Making as many versions as I could think of. The top middle N was the preliminary sketch for Gentlemen.

Many iterations of each character were made before coming to the final one. Sketches were done primarily with pencil and black gouache before putting anything on the computer. Below shows a few of the iterations of the K, with the farthest right being the current version.
